Basics To Consider

Design is the main challenge for every client, especially if this is your first website. The first thing to remember is there is no right or wrong way! Naturally there are some standards lots of people adhere to but its down to how you want to represent yourself online and what will work for your customers. 

However we do like to try an make this process as easy as possible so you can get the perfect blend of form and function. 

Below you will find a variety of elements you need to consider and some things you can inject into your website to get the most out of it.

Pages

You can have a page for anything you wish, up to the total number of pages in your plan. There is however always a “home page”. This is the first page your clients and customers will see so it should embody everything your about.

As mentioned above, every website needs a home page, this is the first thing your customers and clients will see. It is popular to include a variety of options on this page including social media feeds, images, interactive icons and more. You want to ensure that when people reach your website they are engaged and understand exactly what your company is about and what it can offer them.

Lots of customers like to know who they are doing business with.  An “About Us” page gives you the chance to share anything about yourself, your business, your values, company vision or any other insight you think is suitable. You can include pictures of you, your staff or other company specific images such as your office, van etc. 

When you have put so much time effort and skill into your company, your work or your products, it would be a shame not to show it off to your existing and potential customers. This is a great page to include galleries, testimonials and reviews. 

Your website should have your customers and clients eager to make contact with you. A contact page can give them your email and phone details, a contact forms, location maps, links to other communication channels and social media. 

This section can include multiple sub pages (like our “Packages” section) should you have the page allowance in your plan. This becomes very powerful when your company has multiple products or services to showcase.

Depending on your company, having page to share the latest developments, news and offers is a perfect addition to your website. Adding an attractive “slider” which scroll through images and adverts can be a very engaging visual medium. 

Content

We will always try and help you get the right content into your website. You may already have a very clear idea or you may want us to provide some prompts to help you, either way, we will work with you to give you ideas on how to display your content to make it exciting and engaging.

Flip Boxes

An interactive flip box can set you up to deliver some interesting information, when your user hovers over them, it will flip them to some additional information and buttons again to link them to other parts of your website.
